The Resurrectionists

A rather macabre opening as Father Brown comes across an accident scene where the body has been decapitated.

It was young baker Alexander Moore killed in an accident but soon his body disappears from the graveyard and found on the premises of undertaker Peter Blackstone. Alexander's mother who owns the struggling bakery thoroughly dislikes the undertaker.

Worse still the body has shown up with the head intact!

Father Brown suspects that Alexander might have faked his own death at first and was then later killed.

An enjoyable episode from the pre title sequence onwards and you just know that both the baker and undertaker have a dark secret which have embroiled both families.
