Could've been much better than this!!
mwrwazed1 October 2020
The story didn't seem too touchy to me. So I didn't like the movie very much. Although the making of the movie is much better. Loved the location, set, and production design. And also loved the camera treatment. But I don't understand that Jyoti is in love with a Muslim boy; that part isn't flash in the movie, or I didn't notice !!

And the performance of the main character is not very good. But I like the performance of Gazi Rakayet. The time of the Pak army camp was very annoying. It seemed that he had been forced to act.

Modern generation must be seen.(8 by debojyoti)
Many thanks to the director for bringing Humayun Ahmed from the pages of the novel to the cinema screen. The director has handled the very sensitive issues of 1971 in Bangladesh with a very strong hand.🙏👍👌

The smell of Bengali soil was in the picture from the beginning to the end.The work of the black and white and color camera really touches the mind. The cinema of modern generation Bengali children must be seen.👍

Could've been better!

Warning: Spoilers
A heart touching story that will surely make a lot of Bengalis emotional. Especially as it's written by Humayun Ahmed, the dialogues were great yet the delivery was poor. The acting could've been better as it seems unrealistic due to poor acting by few charectars. The cinematography wasn't that great. Black and white theme was nice and all but it messed up the sequence when it didn't show the colorful flashback of the job interview. It also showed a mother figure at the beginning but didn't Anil's mother die while giving birth? It was a little confusing but I guess the woman singing lullaby was Anil's Aunt or something! Also there were a lot of unnecessary songs the 1st one they played was Nice but the next two were there just to increase the length of the Movie. Also the unnecessary cuts in the scene where Boren(anile's uncle) and Anil's father were discussing Boren's idea of leaving the country made it super bad. It had great scenes not gonna lie, there were good transitions, the gun shot scene was excellent but overall it could've been better.

Nice direction, the black and white showing the good conditions and bad conditions. Overall the movie is good, new generation must see this to know history far better and brotherhood which are lacking in this situation due to religion.

The Short story tell us some big lessons for life. I pay homage for Humaun Ahamed the great.

I have seen this movie only for Humayun Ahmed. This movie is based on the novel of Humayun Ahmed. I love this movie. Specifically, Anil Bagchi and Ayub Ali were too good in their characters. But orher characters were unable to touch my heart.
