Learn more- Finn and James see Dr. Cavanagh at the caff and Finn asks him if he knows Emma's whereabouts. Dr. Cavanagh responds that he's not allowed to say anything. Finn explains that the family just wants to find out if Emma's left for good or whether she's just gone a break. Dr. Cavanagh apologises but tells Finn that he can't help.
Bob asks Ashley how Harriet took the news of his diagnosis and Ashley admits that he couldn't tell her. Bob reminds Ashley that his dementia will affect Harriet as well and encourages him to remain positive.
Amelia brings Kerry fruit and tells her that she and Dan will take proper care of her. Dan and Amelia look over information about Kerry's upcoming eye surgery and make sounds of disgust, worrying Kerry. Kerry reminds Dan that he's not a paramedic yet: he's just resitting his GCSE's. She tells him that his bedside manner is rubbish.
Zak tells Belle that Lisa called but Belle is disinterested. Joanie tells Zak that Kyle's going out on a playdate and it turns out that it's with Cain. Zak is pleased to see Cain finally taking an interest in his son. Joanie informs Zak and Belle that the three of them are heading to Robblesfield this evening to listen to northern soul music at the social club. Belle protests that the place will be filled with old people but Joanie says that she has no choice in the matter and will be going.
Bernice complains that her wrist still hurts and questions the judgement of the doctor who evaluated her. Nicola tells her to stop complaining but Lawrence insists on calling his private doctor.
Debbie goes to the farm to check out a problem with one of the trucks and finds Cain and Kyle sitting at the table together looking through magazines. Debbie teases her dad about the boy's bonding experience.
Ashley goes home to tell Harriet that he wants to split up with her.
Bernice thanks the private doctor for seeing her and Nicola teases her sister about the formal tone she used with the doctor. Nicola implies that Bernice is marrying Lawrence for his money and comments that she gets the added bonus of not having to sleep with him. Bernice insists that she's marrying Lawrence because she loves him and that things in the bedroom department are very satisfying.
Harriet is distraught and asks Ashley to explain why he wants them to split up. Ashley insists that Harriet's done nothing wrong and that there's no one else in the picture. Harriet demands that Ashley tell her that this is what he truly wants and he can't. He says that he hasn't felt like himself lately and blames everything on his epilepsy medication. Ashley asks Harriet to forget that he wanted them to split and says that he'll make an appointment with his doctor.
Debbie returns the truck to the farm and asks Cain what he and Kyle have been up to. Cain explains that he took Kyle for a ride on the tractor and Debbie watches as Kyle imitates Cain's actions. Debbie tells her dad to admit that he's having fun and he responds that it's been all right hanging out with Kyle.
Zak, Lisa and Belle go to the social club and Belle discovers that it's mostly filled with kids her own age. She quickly joins a guy on the dance floor.
James spots Dr. Cavanagh at the pub and the doctor slides a piece of paper to him with the number of a surgery in Manchester who called him for a reference for Emma. Carly complains about not being able to get any service at the pub and she threatens to pour her own drink. Sandy tells her that he once poured himself a drink and Chas threatened him with a collar and lead. Bob spots Harriet looking sad over an empty wine glass and asks her if everything is okay. She tells Bob that Ashley tried to finish with her.
Belle dances with the bloke from earlier and Joanie asks Zak to dance and he agrees.
Dan tells Kerry that she was right about him being rubbish at talking to people. He reminds her that he didn't know what to say to Ruby as she lay dying. Kerry assures Dan that she needed to hear the truth: that she brought on the illness by not taking care of herself. She tells Dan that she's really going to miss eating and drinking certain things. Dan cuddles with her on the sofa.
Lawrence walks in on Bernice as she's researching prenuptial agreements. Bernice suggests they consider doing one so that people realize that she's marrying him out of love, not for his money. Lawrence says that he'd rather concentrate on their marriage, not think about divorce.
Matt (the boy Belle's been dancing with) and Belle take a break from dancing and Joanie and Zak join them at the table. Matt mistakes Joanie for Belle's mum and Joanie plays along with it, pretending that Zak is her husband. Matt and Belle laugh but Zak is uncomfortable with Joanie's performance. Zak excuses himself to leave and Joanie decides to go with him.
Bob finds Ashley in the church and Ashley tells Bob that he presumes he's seen Harriet. Bob tells Ashley that she's hurt and confused and Ashley asks Bob whether he told Harriet the truth. Bob says that he hasn't and Ashley makes him promise that he won't tell anyone.
Joanie and Zak get home and she asks him why he's been so quiet since they left the dance. Joanie surmises that it's because she pretended to be Lisa and assures Zak that it was just a joke. Zak questioned whether Joanie would have behaved that way in front of Lisa and tells her that it was disrespectful. Zak tells Joanie that he thinks she should move out as soon as possible.
