We chatted with Kevin Rahm about Avery's secret past, the fan love for Lethal Weapon, and Rahm's upcoming psychological thriller, Clinical, which drops on Netflix this Friday, the 13th.

TV Fanatic: How can such a good guy like Avery have any dark secrets?

Kevin Rahm: [laughs] I think you might be projecting on Avery. I think he is a good guy, but I think we all have things in our past we’re not proud of. Anytime those things or light is shined upon those things you have to make a decision on how you’re going to handle that,

Ratings: ‘Star’ Slips 27 Percent Sans ‘Empire’

5 January 2017 8:29 AM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

ABC’s winter “Match Game” premiered on Wednesday, helping the Disney-owned broadcaster preserve a primetime win in the key 18-49 demographic. Really, it was “Modern Family” and “The Goldbergs” that lead the way for the network, but the Alec Baldwin-hosted game show at least didn’t screw things up. CBS finished first among total viewers, with “Undercover Boss” and a pair of procedurals. The story of the night may be Fox’s “Star,” however, which slipped 27 percent without a special “Empire” lead-in. That shouldn’t be wholly unexpected, as regular lead-in “Lethal Weapon” just can’t compare to Cookie Lyon’s world. »

Here’s a brief look at our favorite TV and film milestones of 2017:

Jan. 25, 2002: A Walk to Remember (15 Years)

While fans are crying over Mandy Moore’s Golden Globe-nominated performance on NBC’s hit new series This Is Us, it was just 15 years ago that they cried over her performance in the weepy adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ book about a girl with cancer who falls in love with a rebellious classmate.

Let’s not also forget that 2002 gave us Naomie Harris in 28 Days Later, Barbershop, Ryan Gosling in Murder by Numbers, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, [link »

It was kind of an error.

“That stunt was maybe our craziest that we’ve done, and it was actually a bit of a logistical mistake,” executive producer Matt Miller tells TVLine. “On that day, we jumped off the wrong side of the roof. It was supposed to be another side that would’ve made it a »
