Horrible!!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE RATINGS!!!
phanindra_bharadwaj8 February 2020
The ratings doesn't even match the movie. Looks like the film crew rated this themselves. I watched this just because of the ratings. The dialogues, the BGM, screenplay, story, direction, graphics... Everything is a disaster. Do not believe the ratings!!!

worst movie ever

Warning: Spoilers
the most horrible movies of all time my guess is the director was a debutant and the producer just had money to spent. it seems the director could understand the story well. some scenes were just a copy of Hollywood movies and we don't even understood why the scenes were even there. and the actors, loll we cant blame them when the director doesn't even know what he is making. just awful. wasted my time more than my money. it is supposed to be called a scary movie, instead it ended up being just nothing. and it seems the film was based in Malaysia, as a audience my question to the producer and director whoever they are, is why Malaysia, clearly looked like the team wanted to enjoy in Malaysia when the story didn't even demand to go out of Kanada or any part of India. whoever the story writer is, he just copied from different Ouija based movies in Hollywood, i guess the producer should have done some research before putting his money on such directors and story writers. a big disappointment for Kannada film industry.

Ouija Movie Review
bhanu-9553211 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
DIRECTOR: Rajkumar Reddy; ACTORS Gayathri Iyer, Madhuri Itagi, Kadambari, Bharat, Avinash, Sayaji Shinde; RUN TIME 132 minutes; CERTIFICATION A; RATING: Three of Five

That Ouija is a brand of talking boards is not commonly known. Talking board itself is hardly known in India and comes to us only from Hollywood horror films. This film, thus, becomes the first 'Ouija genre' horror film in Kannada. The film has some scary scenes and many skimpily-dressed girls, to make it Kannada film in Hollywood disguise. The production values are good, and that is what makes it watchable compared to the other dozen horror films flooding theatres in recent months. Since Ouija is made in both Kannada and Telugu, the actors are a mix from both industries.

The film takes place in Malaysia. Three girls decide to make a short film and pick a small-time actor to play the lead. They have heard about the Ouija board and base their film on it. Strange things begin to happen and all their lives seem to be in danger. Either they have managed to release a vengeful spirit or one of the four is plotting against the other three. It does not take them long to realise that they are at the receiving end of a spirit's revenge.

The film gives the chills in a few places and also becomes a suspense drama for some time. Wherever possible the girls are commoditised. Unlike many horror films that try to induce scary moments only in darkness, Ouija does not shy away from light. This aspect highlights the production values. Naveen Krishna's dialogues are characteristically sharp. When you are supposed to only look scared or laugh, there is not much scope to showcase acting abilities. Only Avinash's character has some meat to show his talent, which he does. If you like to ogle at girls, the songs do not seem an intrusion. Ouija is not a great horror film but if you have a lazy day to spend, this could fill some hours.

Ouija Movie 2015 Review

Warning: Spoilers
Kshetra, Niharika, Krishnaveni who gives up on job for quite a few days and starts their vacation. They are quiet easy going and enjoys their life to the fullest in their weekends and whenever they get time otherwise and in meanwhile they decides to launch a short movie and starts searching on for stories.

On one such evening, they meet Balaraju who is an aspiring actor, struggling to get a chance to see himself on big screen. Since the girls are also interested in film making and fed up with their regular schedules, they were impressed with Balaraju's enthusiasm. All of them got on well and decided to make a short film. They chose to do a horror film thinking that would quickly grab the attention of the audience. They've arranged for a couple of Ouija (Spirit communication device) boards for the shoot, one of which happened to be spooky.

On the other hand, the evil spirit of Maya who died in an accident deliberately troubling the four friends and slowly that becomes a life threat for them, during the film shoot. When they realized this is all happening because of Maya, what did they do to get rid of her? Were they able to do so? Why is Maya's spirit mad at these 4 friends anyway? The story runs on this plot.

How did the movie look overall??

Three friends going somewhere and getting stuck with a ghost spirit and finding a spiritual saint to get rid of the evil force is a very old horror film mantra. But director Raajkumar has poured the old wine in a brand new bottle and even added his own fresh side dishes with it.

Three girl friends who are software employees by profession and live in Malaysia are bored of their jobs and want to get into Film making. One fine day when they are all tipsy in a restaurant they meet this guy who is very enthusiastic and dying to be an actor. Then and there the girls decide to make a short film letting that guy be the main lead. They buy a couple of Ouija boards for the shoot and that gets as messy as possible since then. Finally when they know the problem has started with the Board and they are the ones that are reason for all that. The whole process of them investigating the reason behind the spooky incidents and solution for the problem is the film.

A relentless dreadful experience with a lot of swag. And that comes with impressive production values. Vega Entertainments is already well known in south India and producer Vikarm Raju didn't turn down his reputation in film making as well. The film is as rich as it could ever be. Especially the visual effects and sound effects will shake your spine off. Impressive cinematography by Ravi Kumar who has shot number films already.

Music definitely plays an important role in the film. The juke box has a set of four lively and high spirited songs along with a promo song. The new music composer Harinikesh looks like ready for a big game.

If you are bored of the regular formulated films, then this is the one you should count on. A different story with an exciting execution. Go on and start the game Ouija.

Ouija Movie Review

Story revolves around 3 Aspiring girls who want to become An Actress, Photographer and Director together make their mind to do a short Movie based on OUJIA Board in Malaysia. Another Struggling Actor, Bharath joins their camp as well. Team keeps facing unexpected incidents in their life during their course of making the movie. Story gets revealed in the second half when Another Important Character played by Shraddha gets interlinked with their Story. How both these plots are inter related? What happens to All of them? All these answers have to be known by watching it on big screen.

Director Raj Kumar Reddy does a pretty Good job with some Scares at regular intervals for the Audience. In the second half of the Movie, where the Story gets revealed with some interesting Twists, keeping Audience on the edge of their seats.

All of them have done their respective roles very well. Bharath fits the Bill perfectly with a well composed performance. Nice roles have been etched out for senior Artists like Avinash, Sayaji Shinde who get All the credits for their performance, which is a cakewalk for them.

Cinematography by Ravi Kumar stands out for his Technical Brilliance. Songs by Hari Nikesh Could have been Better and Background Score Good. Editing is Good. Dialogues penned by Naveen Krishna are Appreciable.

I think This movie is pretty Engaging and can be termed as one of the Good Horror Genre flicks in recent times
