Plot Summary

Detective Martine Monteil is busy hunting down a serial killer who's targeting young women walking home alone at night in East Paris, when she gets tapped to head the Crime Division. Appalled by the horrific macabrely staged murders, the new police commissioner uses every resource at her disposal to catch the man who's terrorizing the capital in the 1990s. Monteil becomes obsessed with the case, blasting through the tough environment and internal pressures in the police department to put together a ground-breaking DNA database that finally yields a bitter victory. Commissioner Monteil eventually puts a face and a name - Guy Georges - on the killer, securing his arrest. But seven young women have lost their lives over the course of an investigation that was drawn out too long - for the wrong reasons. Written by Happy_Evil_Dude
