Outstanding!

Jumbo Wild is most certainly one of the best documentaries I have ever seen! I find it unique in the sense that they show you more than just one or two viewpoints and also keep a rather unbiased stance on the subject, leaving room for you to make your own decisions about the topic. I wish more documentaries were like Jumbo Wild and would love to see a sequel or updated documentary on the scenario.

Somewhat of a Letdown

I saw this documentary on Netflix and was immediately interested in watching it. If not for the information I was hoping to learn from this documentary I was at least hoping to see some great cinematic shots of the beautiful Canadian landscape. However, I found this documentary to be sadly lacking on information. At times, there were quick snippets of interviews thrown in with people whose connection to the documentary was uncertain to me. There seemed to be an unnecessary amount of useless footage mixed in with the impressive clips (impressive in terms of the shots of mountain tops). With that said, I was still somewhat disappointed with the cinematography and was hoping for a little more and not so many recycled clips from what looked like other (old) documentaries.

Before watching this I had never even heard of the battle in this area of British Columbia over a ski resort community. If I want to learn more I'll have to do my own research, because as I stated above, this documentary didn't really get into the meat of the story and give as much information as it should have.

My rating breaks down like this: Cinematography: 6 Information/substance of film: 3
