There is much I can forgive a time travel science fiction TV show. I love the stuff.
However, the lack of either intelligence or common sense in the protagonist, especially in a character that's supposed to be H.G Wells, is not one of the things I can swallow.
He's smart enough to build a time machine, but when someone tells him they knew him long ago he's baffled because he doesn't remember them? Seriously? This guy did not think through even the most obvious of the implications of having such a device. The story would be more believable if the time machine had just appeared in the boob's basement one day by magic.
And a gun owner gives her only gun to a fool who tells her he doesn't believe in them when they are going up against a serial killer? What was that about? Women are too weak to carry a gun?
