- Radio Play uses an over the top and very CAMPY style to detail the destruction of media and Hollywood through comedy using the format of the old time radio programs.
- Radio Play is about Preservation. Preservation of AM Radio and Preservation of Hollywood. Done in a very CAMPY and comedic style this really is a unique film making experience. Using blacked out screens to tell the story by taking the viewer back to a time when they sat in front of an old radio with nothing to look at, the film gives the viewer a chance to reflect with the mind and not the video. When the video returns, after the film break is repaired, the viewer is shoved right back into the modern day film via POV.
When the manufacturers began a movement to remove AM/FM radio from our auto's recently, this film was triggered. Using extremely well known radio voices, including the legendary Larry Van Nuys, the film blends in what is seen as a tragedy in the making. The great LA Earthquake and NO AM Radio to find out what happened and where to go. Only WiFi and what if the cell towers go down?
The plot features Private Eye, Bill Noir suddenly handed a tip about a Russian plot. He must learn what that plot is and when he does he must stop the two rogue Russians from pulling it off. They know he's on the case and foil him before he foils them. The kidnapping of his secretary and love interest pushes him over the edge. The plot (SPOILER ALERT HERE) is
to blow up Lake Hollywood Dam and destroy Hollywood with a flood. The reasons? You'll have to watch to find out. Can Hollywood be saved? Can AM Radio be saved in time for the next Big Earthquake?
