Definitely worth your time

I watched "A Beginner's Guide to Happiness" on Vimeo and thought that it was very well- conceived and convincing. Ira has obviously spent many, many years studying myriad topics and philosophies and has a deep understanding of psychology (he is, in fact, a psychotherapist). Interestingly he is has taken some fairly dense material and made it extremely easy to digest and this is one of the few videos on the subject that I have found both entertaining and enlightening at the same time. He reminds me of Eddie Izzard or Russell Brand or even John Oliver - very intelligent and educated and pointing out flaws and hypocrisies in a funny way and then providing simple solutions. I recommend checking out "A Beginner's Guide to Happiness" - it's only an hour and definitely worth the time.

I was very happy to discover "A Beginner's Guide to Happiness." I watched it on Vimeo and did not know what to expect but I found Ira to be extremely knowledgeable and also quite funny and easy to understand. I think that he has a real gift for encouraging people to try new ways of seeing things - or what he calls new "ways of of being in the world." Usually I am skeptical about self-help type advice, especially for such a broad topic as "happiness" but Ira made it convincing, simple, smart and entertaining. Sometimes we really need reminding or inspiration to appreciate "what we have" and following Ira's simple recipes can be very transformational. Also, the choice of settings is pretty creative and cute. After watching this video my mind was relaxed and my heart was full of warmth and hope. I loved it!
