Plot Summary

The archaeology professor Hopper is searching for a group of missing hippies, including his parents and sister, that disappeared in the 70's in a cave where there is a legend that has the Fountain of Youth. He finds a man that does not move inside a cave and returns home, where he releases his students Taylor and Jackie from the research saying that he will proceed the work alone. Hopper never returns and Taylor asks his girlfriend Cara to borrow her father's Jeep to look for Hopper. They go with Cara's sister, the teenager Veeves and her teenage friend Furby and find Hopper's car. They enter the cave and need to use ropes to abseil down to a lower floor. When they decide to climb to leave the level, the ropes frail and Taylor and Jackie hurt. Soon they find Furby dead with a broken neck and his video footage shows that many days have passed by outside the cave, but they have spent only one hour inside the cave. Taylor concludes that time moves slower inside the cave, and there are dangerous cavemen inside. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia Part of the filming occurred in the Bronson Caves, known to many history buffs as the Batcave in the Batman television series in the 1960s. See more »
Goofs The natural light entering the cave where Cara, Jackie, Taylor and Veeves rappelled down should have rapidly alternated with the changing of day and night after they crossed the time warp threshold, just like it did for Dr. Hopper. Unlike the cave that Prof. Hopper and Furby enter, the cave that the others enter isn't in direct sunlight. It has a small entrance under trees, that opens into a rather large cavern, the cave they descend down is at the opposite end of the cavern from the entrance. It would be nearly impossible for them to see the flickering of the seasons at the speed the days were passing. See more »

Quotes Taylor: So what are we doing here?
Hopper: Well, my grandfather used to tell me the future can give you anything you want. If you wait long enough, the future will create it. Maybe through technology, or maybe just by making you not want it anymore. Either way, the answer's in the future.
