As the countdown continues towards Logan hitting theaters on March 3, fans have been treated to a number of new Logan photos by director James Mangold, through his Twitter account. Over the weekend, the filmmaker shared three new images, featuring Hugh Jackman's Logan, Patrick Stewart's Professor X and Dafne Keen's X-23. The director also released a statement to the fans, who keep asking him when the new trailer will arrive. Here's what the filmmaker had to say in a series of tweets.
"To all asking directors (like me) to drop a trailer, please know, its not like we sit on them waiting for best worded tweet to move us. Directors have influence over many things. Even dates. But the dates chosen for a trailer drop are result of much corporate planning. And once these dates are set, there is nothing that is going to make a worldwide distribution machine change course. »

A few weeks ago, just before the New Year was rung in, 20th Century Fox launched a Logan website that not only teased the final trailer is coming soon, but offered 1,974 lucky fans a chance to own their own special piece of the trailer itself. The website was entitled 1974 frames of Logan, which gave fans a chance to sign up and receive a limited edition postcard that features one of the 1974 frames in this impending sneak peek. As it turns out, star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold received the first and last postcard frames, which they both shared today through social media.
At almost exactly the same time this morning, both Hugh Jackman and James Mangold took to Twitter to share their postcard frames. James Mangold had the very first frame, which shows the outline of Logan's Chrysler 300 limousine, although we can't see the full vehicle. You may »
This is going to be really scary. So hide the kids. A new year means new horror movies. And one of the most anticipated is Xx. Today, we have your first look with the trailer, the final poster and a bunch of new photos that show off some of the cast.
Magnet Releasing's horror anthology Xx features filmmakers Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird), Annie Clark (St. Vincent), Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound), Karyn Kusama (The Invitation, Girl Fight). Xx opens in theaters and on VOD on February 17. And it will have its world premiere at Sundance.

Award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo wraps together these »
In just under two months, fans will get to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine one final time on the big screen in the highly-anticipated Logan, which is shaping up as one of this spring's most highly-anticipated movies. It remains unclear when the next batch of footage will be released, but until then, star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold unveiled two more photos offering new looks at the title character. If another star of the X-Men universe has his way, though, Logan won't be the last time we see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on the big screen.
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds said in a recent interview that he would love to try and change Hugh Jackman's mind about retiring his Wolverine character, and bring him back for a Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie. Hugh Jackman wouldn't completely rule out returning in such a movie, claiming that he could "totally see how that's the perfect fit, »
It’s a brand new year, and Fox’s A Cure For Wellness is ready to get freaky with it. In a collection of five New Year’s Day-themed promos, the horror film from director Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3, Rango) promises an unsettling, demented psychological scarefest to ring in 2017 with.
Focused on how “we promise to improve ourselves, but we never do” with each new year, the first new promo demands that you “stop treating the symptom” and “take the cure” through these visually-maddening looks into this disturbing new mind-trip. The other four teasers focus on our failure to lose weight, “relief from pain relief,” weight loss again and failed resolutions in general.
If you’ve kept up with the marketing, these promos don’t provide anything new. Still, it’s a nifty, inspired way to highlight the recently passed holiday, and another chance to delve into this maddening new film, »

Now that 2016 has finally ended, you may be filling out some New Year's resolutions, to set some goals for yourself in 2017. Oftentimes, these resolutions go unfulfilled, a theme that is highlighted in a creepy new TV trailer for 20th Century Fox's A Cure For Wellness. Instead of "treating the symptom," this footage suggests that those who really want to improve themselves should "take the cure." While it remains unclear what this actual cure is, it does seem quite terrifying.
Dane DeHaan stars in this cerebral thriller from 20th Century Fox as an ambitious young executive who is sent to retrieve his company's CEO from an idyllic but mysterious "wellness center" at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa's miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the »

It’s easy to bemoan the majority of trailers for giving away too much or, upon seeing the film, ending up with something far different than what was marketed. However, a few times a year, a trailer works on its own terms; as an impressive piece of editing in its own right and/or as the ideal tease for an highly-anticipated film. We’ve selected our 20 favorites from the last year, ranging from some of 2017’s biggest films to the best in arthouse and foreign films to a handful of surprises.
Check them out below and let us know which trailers you were most impressed with in 2016.
A late contender to the list, this brief preview for The Lost of City of Z was perfect tease for James Gray‘s period epic. Giving us our first glimpse at Darius Khondji‘s stunning, shot-on-35mm visuals, »

It’s the New Year, and while we have lots of cool interviews to share with you over the next twelve months here at Lrm, there was one great interview last year that kind of got away from us, and that was our very long chat with screenwriter Taylor Sheridan.
You may know Sheridan from his acting work on Sons of Anarchy, but he left that show to become a screenwriter and his first two screenplays, for Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario and the more recent Hell or High Water, have received a lot of well-warranted attention for their sharp writing and characterizations. Maybe that’s why the respective directors were able to get the likes of Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro, Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine on board.
