While it doesn't get as much screen time as it deserves, the development of Leah's storyline works well, with Zac and VJ heavily involved and Leah finally realising that whatever the risks, her life needs to be better than it is.Her final wish, while discomforting, isn't as shocking or unreasonable as the cliffhanger suggests.
John and Jett yanking Chris around as part of a bet is a little too sadistic to make for comfortable viewing. It's also not that easy to sympathise with Chris, who'll probably have a new obsession soon.
But he is far more sympathetic than Brax, whose latest selfish plan involves risking the lives of two people he's supposed to care about and two innocent men just because he's bored. It's a relief that Ash eventually decides he's got too much to lose to risk being Brax's fall guy, it's a shame Kyle is too loyal to do the same.
