Enjoyable mini-documentaries.

Basically, Red Steagall reads information, that you could find on Wikipedia, from cue cards, but he does read it well and it's easier than reading it yourself. Usually interesting subjects, whether places or people. I was rather bothered by him repeatedly mispronouncing Natchitoches in the episode about Sam Houston, when this is supposed to be an informative program, and the proper pronunciation is easily looked up. (It is not "natch-a-TOE-chess." It is "NA-ke-tush," and the t-u-s-h rhymes with rush.

History, Biographies and more for the whole family.

Red Steagall travels and tells the story of people and places of America. He also interviews people from all different walks of life. Rodeo Champions, Museum Curators, Olympic Gold Medal winners, Western Musicians and Cowboys just to name a few. The show is very educational and inspirational. Great for the whole family. It is refreshing to watch a show like this that is so like what television used to be like during the golden age of TV. Red's episodes will inspire you to go on a road trip and perhaps visit one of the Old West Ghost towns he gives the history of. Just flat out great entertainment.
