All About Soledad
Sublime Soledad (2015)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Amy Brown, the historian and webmaster of the best Soledad Miranda site on the internet, is interviewed in this 20-minute featurette that can be found on both the SHE KILLED IN ECSTASY and VAMPYROS LESBOS releases. If you're a fan of Miranda then you're certainly going to be entertained by this featurette, which gives you the most details about the actress that we've gotten on disc so far. We start off learning about her parents and where she grew up and then we get down to her professional career.
We're given clips from a lot of her movies but of course the main focus is on the films that she did with Spanish director Jess Franco. Brown talks about the actresses brief retirement and why she decided to give the acting one more go around. Again, if you're a fan of Miranda then this here is certainly going to be a must see because there's really not too many featurettes out there that are devoted directly to her. It was great fun getting to see the various film clips but the downside is that we also hear about her death and how she was just on the brink of stardom according to most.
