Don't go into Craig Quits His Day Job expecting biting workplace satire. What you'll find instead is a very bizarre movie full of eccentric characters, non sequiturs, and absurdist humor. It starts off shaky and takes 10 minutes or so to find its groove, but once Craig leaves the office, this offbeat movie comes together, as Craig is pulled into the harebrained schemes of a wannabe criminal, helps his demented hoarder neighbor fulfill an ancient prophesy, gets recruited by Satanic cultists, and goes on a series of strange encounters and misadventures. Craig Quits His Day Job won't inspire you to leave your cubicle behind, but if you enjoy cult comedies and indie cinema, check it out.
This is a fun film to watch and was easy to access through Amazon Prime. A light hearted comedy with a wee touch of encouragement for the misfits of the employed and unemployed world. I really liked the soundtrack and characters, which I think most people would find something in common with one of them.
How refreshing to stumble upon a light, but heartfelt comedy in this moment in time. Craig Quits His Day Job is an endearing indie with quirky, well-drawn characters. I found the lead actor, Garrett Titlebaum super relatable, with comedy that didn't feel pushed. The whole film has an Office feel, but with its own twists.
Craig Quits His Day Job is about, well, a guy named Craig who quits his day job. Aptly titled haha. The film is a quirky comedy that follows the somewhat dorky Craig after he surprisingly quits his job and even gets ridiculed for it by his boss who calls him a "lifer" who will come crawling back by the end of the week. Craig is determined though and decides to unite the quitters around his neighborhood. The premise is a good setup for Craig to interact with a wide variety of funny eccentric characters -- the ones you'd expect have nothing else going on during business hours and who might be interested in joining a quitters group. The film is ultimately a fun, quirky, over-the-top comedy that is quite enjoyable. I'm continually on the lookout for good comedies to watch and I'd highly recommend Craig Quits His Day Job to anyone looking for the same.
Craig quits his job and the fun begins. This film is full of fun characters that seem to spin around Craig like tiny crazy planets. The hapless Craig quits his "lifer job" to get out from under a tyrant of a boss, and quickly falls head first into a seemingly parallel universe radiating from his apartment building.
The quitter self help group sessions were some of my favorite moments, with deadpan quirky performances by all the actors. Just a lot of fun.
Does Craig find love with Grace? Does he get his butt kicked by her supernatural tough guy boyfriend Klaus? Is Bing Crosby really in this film? Watch this funny movie and find out!
I applaud the filmmakers for putting together a comedy feature in Pittsburgh and showcasing some of Pittsburgh's finest actors. Way to go!!
