Good weather info is much appreciated by those of us who live in hurricane prone areas. Unfortunately, The Weather Channel is not an objective source for weather news. During the last 7 years, every hurricane seasons has been forecasted to be "the worst on record." Anchors and paid experts mix real-time data with opinionated comments that seem intended to lead viewers to believe we are on the edge of a weather apocalypse. Even when there is good weather news, such as drought abatement, etc, TWC always finds a way to make the weather news sound bad. Writers for the program routinely select negatively evocative descriptive language to nurture a doom and gloom view of world-wide weather trends. Fortunately, the internet and local news services are still available, providing solid information on the current and forecasted weather without the misleading and opinionated rubbish. What could have been a great resource is, instead, tainted, off-putting, and best relegated to the yellow press trash heap.
