Warning: Spoilers
A child abduction film with a social media twist telling us to be careful as what we post online about ourselves.

Isabel takes her three year old half brother Tommy to the playground in the park where he goes missing. However it seems this might have been more than a random abduction and Tommy might had been targeted.

Isabel who feels guilty over the abduction and who also feels ignored by her mother and stepfather goes to her friends and use modern technology to find leads quicker than the police.

As a made for television thriller some of the acting is on the broad side, the script maybe tries too hard to put up some red herrings but is not really thrilling and at times silly.

Horrible casting and acting
highflight-6706028 May 2022
The worst casting AND acting I've ever seen.

Can they not find actors who actually look anywhere close to the age they're portraying? For instance not having 30 something year old's playing teenagers. Same thing with the acting. Can they not find even ONE person with acting skills in an entire cast?

Quite timely warning about social media
phd_travel8 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is a relevant lifetime thriller combining child abduction and the of social media on solving crime and becoming a victim.

A pre occupied couple leave their young son in the care of their elder daughter. The boy goes missing in the park. The daughter uses cell phone pictures to help find the abductor.

It's interesting how one can use modern technology to solve crime. The cops seem a little less than in charge here but it doesn't matter. The cast competent and the search is quite detailed and interesting to watch.

A good warning about how much one can reveal in photos and posts to others.

Vanished Into Thin Air
lavatch16 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
"Online Abduction" (a.k.a., "Cyber Case") is a taut drama depicting a family's response to the abduction of their little boy. Young Tommy Fletcher was at the park in the care of his older step-sister, Isabelle (Belle). In a moment when Belle glanced away while she was in conversation with her friend Jeremy, little Tommy was abducted in a heartbeat. It appeared as though he vanished into thin air.

The film is engaging due to the technological wizardry that enables the authorities to track the kidnapper of little Tommy. But it is no thanks to the police or the FBI. Rather, it is due to the quick-thinking Belle, her boyfriend Jeremy, and her friends Ben and Allison that the wonders of tracking devices and malware work their magic.

At first, Belle's stepdad Matt was irate at her for taking her eye off little Tommy. Matt's harsh words, "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you to watch him!" were inappropriate in shaming the teenager. Belle's response is to move into action with her crack team of friends and generate the leads that will lead them to Tommy. The best moment in the film was the expression on the faces of FBI Special Agents Willis and Radzicki as the incredulous experts watch Belle and Jeremy take them to school.

In the end, it was not Belle, but Matt himself who was remiss in failing to recognize the danger signals from his ex-wife Lorraine Campbell. Even after their divorce, Matt seemed in a haze not to recall the devastation felt by Lorraine after a series of miscarriages and losing little Ashley.

There is an especially touching moment at the end when Jackie Fletcher, the mother of Belle and Tommy, empathizes with Lorraine and wishes her well in getting the help that she deserves. While the film scores points for its gripping portrayal of "cyber stalking," there is also a human touch in the meeting of the eyes of two mothers who know what it means to experience desperation after losing a child.

Utter garbage!

For some stupid reason IMDb keeps wanting me to use no less than six hudred characters.

Well I think I am asked too much considering how God awful this LMN movie was. All cast were crap. From the parents to creepy Tommy with his pschopathic creepy laughter to the stupid FBI agent and that woman profiler.

I am sure the script must have been written by eleven year old kids in some kind of home room project or assignment! The cast must have been picked by tge same kids! The best performance belonged to tge silent extras in the background of shots! So all in all avoid this crap unless you are extremely bored outta your head. Warning though! You will be even more bored after sitting through this!
