A really good mix of drama and humour.

Briggs is in serious trouble, as Coulson seems intent on taking him down, befriending his true love, and enlisting the help of Fenton.

The main story is interesting itself, but it's perhaps the story of Briggs that is the most interesting aspect, it was a very different time back then, and his story is sad, but intriguing, any hint of his sexuality would have had major consequences.

I loved the story of Suzie and Swift, their date, it was sweet and funny, it really did provide a lighter moment or two. She has perhaps become my favourite character here.

I wondered why John Duttine was here, in such a small, almost insignificant part, here though, you see why he's here, the scene where he and his daughter share a deep conversation, best moment of the series so far.

I'm a little reminded of a PD James novel, perhaps A Shroud for a Nightingale, there are a few similarities, a few similarities in tone.

Some nice stunts with Sawyer.

Cracking episode, 9/10.
