A fine start to the new series.

WPC Taylor joins the team, and helps the team hunt for someone who is preying on beauty Queens. Sergeant Fenton returns to work, and instantly clashes with Taylor.

Claudia Jessie replaces Jacques seamlessly, I thought she was great here, she's feisty, smart, and she's happy to mix it with anyone, including Fenton.

I thought this was a cracking start to the third and final series, a lot of new faces, but the same great production values, and yet another cracking story.

Harry is a great character, he impressed here as much as the new WPC, I find his story really intriguing. Olly Rix is strikingly good looking, he plays the part of the troubled cad very well.

A different, not so great, beat

WPC 56 was plodding along quite nicely in its first two series, and then rather hit the buffers when it had to replace its leading lady.

Jennie Jacques was so good in the role that although her replacement isn't playing the same role she pales slightly in comparison.

Taggart was able to outlast Taggart, Heartbeat went through multiple lead bobbies on the beat without much trouble- sadly the abrupt end to WPC 56 implies that it couldn't do the same.
