On August the 26th, 1968 The Beatles released their single 'Hey Jude'. The song was written by McCartney, who claimed it was for Lennon's son, Julian, to comfort him after his parents divorced. However, the month prior to the single's release, Judith Simons (also known as 'Jude'), a pop journalist at the Daily Express, received a call from the Beatles publicist who told her Paul (McCartney) had written a song about her. The movie is about Judith Simons (a.k.a. Judith Boehm),, the first female Pop reporter in England. She is also my mother's second cousin. The documentary aims to highlight the dualities in Judith's career as a journalist: as a young journalist in 1945 post war Germany and as a 40 year old pop journalist.
