“Paranomral Survivor” is a Canadian produced paranormal docuseries that airs on The Travel Channel and Netflix. The show premiered in 2015 and just wrapped its sixth season. Ghosts, spirits, entities, phantoms, lost souls, shadow people, demons, apparitions… whatever you want to call them, Travel Channel has enough programming about them lined up in October to keep you spooked all month long. The big question is, if ghosts really do exist, why is everyone so obsessed with them?
Travel Channel has become a sort of Paranormal Headquarters, where the mission is to get viewers screaming from now until Halloween. Their “Ghostober” programming has, count ‘em, 16 creepy events rolling out that’ll have you sleeping with the lights on.
“We start October with a live event where we have most of our talent from across different shows come together. I call them the Avengers of paranormal investigation,” Travel Channel’s general manager Matthew Butler tells TheWrap.
So, that said, psychic and paranormal expert Chip Coffey warns all the ghosts hiding out there, “Damn the torpedoes, we’re comin’ for you!

The sales arm of Blue Ant has closed a raft of programming deals with international channels, including for British series “Prison,” as the Natpe market gets underway in Miami.
Blue Ant International has sold “Prison,” the factual series about life inside a jail in Durham, England, to multiple territories. Germany’s Welt, Belgium’s Vrt, Norway’s TV2, and Rtl in the Netherlands have all acquired the Spring Films-produced show. The hard-hitting three-parter was broadcast on Channel 4 in the U.K. It goes behind prison walls, showing the drug problems, violence, and other day-to-day issues facing staff and inmates.
A key U.S. agreement for Blue Ant sees Architect Films-produced lifestyle series “Lakefront Luxury” head to NBCU’s cable network Bravo.
Elsewhere, Discovery has taken “Paranormal Survivor” for German-speaking markets, and CBS Reality has it for the rest of the Emea region. The fourth season of the paranormal...
