Michael Ian Black,
Meet the most beloved sitcom horse of the '90s - 20 years later. BoJack Horseman was the star of the hit TV show "Horsin' Around," but today he's washed up, living in Hollywood, complaining about everything, and wearing colorful sweaters.
Liz Lemon, head writer of the sketch comedy show "TGS with Tracy Jordan", must deal with an arrogant new boss and a crazy new star, all while trying to run a successful TV show without losing her mind.
First of all, I had a lot of fun. I just binged all the episodes on Netflix and then watched the movie afterwards. It's quick, cheesy, funny, snappy and a huge parody of the 80s. Featuring a brilliant cast and the fact that some are returning from the film to play even younger versions of themselves is just a joke straight away, and they play around with that throughout the 8 episodes. I'm new to this concept of having a whole season span just one day (with the exception of Arrested Development: Season 4) so it was a great watching experience. Paul Rudd as Andy was ridiculously funny and Bradley Cooper also had some great moments (all of his scenes were shot in one day!)
The music was very fitting to the genre of this show and I really find it helps with comedy films and TV shows. I think this show is for anyone who wants something that doesn't take too much thinking about and wants to have a good time. Just press play and witness the craziness at Camp Firewood!
I hope to see a new season in the future, although I'm not sure what it could be about or where in the time-line it would take place, but I'm sure the writers and creators can work something out. After all, there's still another 8 weeks at camp!
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp gets: 8/10
(You DO NOT have to have seen the film to watch this. Just note that it is childish humour, that's all you need to know)
