One of the best episodes since 'Always'

Firstly, I have to say this has got to be the best episode of the new season. Great way to start off the new year and rekindle that spark we didn't feel for a long time. I thought after the season 5 finale the show had lost its dynamic, and up until this week's episode I was right. Although personally I don't think this deserves more ratings than Always, Knockout, Cops and Robbers, and many other brilliant episodes.

This brought forward the heat between Castle and Beckett like the old days, but not as much. It was filled with non-stop drama, comedy, and mystery. It cracked me up several times, and I was smiling the whole time! However, I felt the lack of the part where Castle telling Beckett that he was no longer permitted to work with the NYPD. Not that I like seeing Beckett all sad and emotional, but they could have at least made something of it. This was just like what happened when they got engaged. Beckett said 'yes' and they just jumped two months into the future ripping us off of the opportunity of seeing what happened immediately after.

Bringing in Perlmutter as the M. E. was brilliant in a situation like this. His encounter with Castle was hilarious, along with Ryan trying to imitate Castle and Espo referring to him as "Baby Castle". That just made my day. Loved seeing Beckett worried about Castle, her smile in many Caskett moments, and Captain Gates furious. This episode really had it all.

Finally, this episode was brilliantly composed. It reminded us how good this show used to be, although I seriously miss the old drama and Castle and Beckett's dynamic they had before season 5. I really do. Hope they make more episodes like this one with Castle, P. I. and cute Caskett moments.

Castle Holmes

Warning: Spoilers
What a funny episode! Sherlock Holmes meet Castle . It was funny to see how Castle working alone as private investigator, and he was almost solving the case by himself. Even so, it almost came competition with Beckett and the precinct. I think being PI would suit Castle even he is perfect as being consulting to the NYPD, and working with Beckett. And even so little time not working together, they already miss it. Their scenes were funny and how they still "worked " the case together, even not really.

Though it did seem awfully coincidental that it took only couple days to graduate as private investigator, like? But despite that, a fantastic episode.

Smart, funny and heartwarming

Words cannot describe how much I loved this episode. Easily the best episode of the season, and my new favorite Castle episode. I loved every second of it. I'm still shocked how good this was, after last two episodes, which where mediocre, this one was like a blast.

It had a great case, complicated, and the resolution was good. Castle being a PI was so funny! There were some really sweet Caskett moments, I couldn't help but smile like crazy. I liked seeing them compete who's gonna solve the case first. But eventually they needed each other to do it properly.

I'd like to see Castle being a PI for as long as possible. Because this brings something new to the show. It brings a new dynamic.

And the ending was brilliant! I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, read all the stories. And when she pulled out that gift, I was really hoping that it was something Sherlock related. But when I saw a deerstalker, I was so freaking happy! And that Caskett kiss at the end, oh my...

Bravo!

I have to say l did not see this coming! It was simply brilliant! It was funny, full of energy, plenty of great scenes (like Castle and Perlmutter chasing each other one the morgue, Castle's lunch with Alexis, which reminded me of their good old days, Castle's and Kate's plot of who's getting drunk who and so many other) and the dog thing was a really nice twist. This is the kind of humor and story this series got us used with and this is why so many people rejected that SF like alternate reality episode, although they did try to make it look like one of Castle's dreams. I wish all the episodes from this season were like this or let's better say l hope all the remaining episodes will be as good as this, especially after l heard 3XK will be back! 10/10 from me!
