No one puts on a show like P!nk. Just look at last year’s tour, a carnival of flashing lights and giant balloons that culminated each night in the US pop artist somersaulting through the air while suspended on wires. She’s a born ringleader.
Be that as it may, she’s sometimes missed the mark. Second LP Missundaztood, with its merging of DIY punk, garage, hip-hop and R&b asserted her dominance over pop princesses such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. But Try This, in 2003, tried too hard to replicate its predecessor’s success. P!nk does best when she makes and breaks her own rules.
Perhaps that’s why Trustfall, her ninth record, falls short. It’s less a kaleidoscope than a clash of influences, with frenetic, thrashy pop-punk competing for attention against characterless dance music. This is P!nk’s latest collaboration with pop guru Max Martin,...

Pink kicked off her two-night stand in New York City on Tuesday night, the final U.S. dates of her Beautiful Trauma World Tour, with a special guest: country singer Chris Stapleton.
The Nashville star emerged from the shadows near the end of the show to re-create their collaboration “Love Me Anyway,” a track on Pink’s latest album Hurts 2B Human. Dressed in his trademark cowboy hat and black Western shirt, Stapleton met Pink at center stage to harmonize on the dramatic ballad. Eventually he joins the acrobatic pop singer in full voice,...

Randy Rogers Band chronicle a vacation breakup in “We Never Made It to Mexico,” Rhiannon Giddens reaches across generations and cultures in the gripping “Ten Thousand Voices” and Pink gets an assist from Chris Stapleton in “Love Me Anyway” in this week’s batch of must-hear songs.
Davisson Brothers Band, “Unbreak You”
The chorus may nod to Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” but “Unbreak You” takes the bulk of its cues from modern country radio, mixing the Davisson Brothers Band’s West Virginia twang with rocked-up grit and thickly stacked harmonies.

Life changes after you seen Pink live in concert. For one thing, every time you hear a new Pink song you can’t help but wonder: “Will this be in the flying portion of the show or is it more of a slow-dance martial arts number?” On her eighth album Hurts 2B Human, there are chest-beating, middle-finger jabbing anthems in every shade of Pink (from Valentine’s Day Pink to Blood-Runs-Pink Pink). At the top of the track list are definite live set additions like the boogie-woogie-ing “Hustle” (“I live...

Co-written by Pink, Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and Jorgen Odegard, the upbeat “Hustle” follows the previously lead single “Walk Me Home.” On “Hustle,” Pink warns a suitor not to conflate her love and caring with being gullible. “A boy like you,...
