Portlandia to End Next Year After 8 Seasons, IFC Confirms

The feminist bookstore is closing: Portlandia will wrap up next year after eight seasons. 

IFC confirmed the news Saturday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, along with announcing an eighth-season renewal for the sketch satire starring SNL alum Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. But co-creator/director Jonathan Krisel says this doesn’t mean he’ll never work with Armisen and Brownstein again.

‘Deadpool 2’ writers confirm return of these major characters

Deadpool 2 characters: Original film’s writers confirm the return of some favourites from the first movie.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of last year’s break-out global hit Deadpool, have confirmed the return of some major characters to the sequel, which is currently in development.

Reese and Wernick spoke to film website Collider, and told them the that both Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus would return for the planned film, which should roll into production very soon.

“I can’t say how much they are…,” Wernick said.  “I think we can say. Yeah, they’ll be in the sequel,” added Reese.

“Yeah, they’ll make at least an appearance.”

Negasonic Teenage Warhead was played by Brianna Hildebrand in Deadpool, while Colossus was voiced by Stefan Kapicic.
