I did not grow up with the ancestor of this show, but as a child I loved its spin-off based on the "Count Duckula" so much that this renewal ended up intriguing me. Before viewing the series I decided to take a look at a couple of old episodes including the one with the aforementioned vegetarian vampire, whose appearance and attitude were much worse, given the horrible hairstyle and melodramatic attitude.
What little I can say about the old series is that it shows the wrinkles, but it has a personality, somehow missing in this return to the scene. The new show reminded me enough of "Secret Squirrel", even the low and clumsy assistant Penfold is reminiscent of Morocco Mole. Overall it was a pleasant pastime and I have not found elements unsuitable for young spectators. The return of the Transylvanian Count is also delighted, albeit in a single episode. The funny thing is that he is basically a fusion of his past incarnations, with a more spin-off-like appearance and a nature closer to origins, but less annoying.
Promoted, even if for longtime fans it may be a slightly weakened product.
