Everything happens at the right time at the right place. For example, Ren and Emily just happen to bump into each other. And how did Ren even end up in the American database? Again, it's an American TV show so everything happens in America; only America is concerned. What about the rest of the world?

The most interesting thing was seeing flashbacks from Erica's past. She is human and has made some human mistakes in her life. After all, her intentions were good in her sick mind - everything she's done was for her daughter, to give her daughter all she's never had. And she had reasons for it too. It was personal for her. Taylor's actions were realistic and the actress did a decent job showing that Taylor would always choose the father of her unborn child over her evil mother. It would have been nice to see Peter Mooney again but we didn't.

Matt's actions seemed forced. Okay, he's definitely egoistic and has a very convenient power but it's way too easy for him to get what he wants. The ending did him well, though. You don't always get what you want.
