Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 3 Review: Parabatai Lost

21 hours ago | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Jace cannot catch a break! He may be one of the unluckiest characters so far this season. We need to admit that he might be cursed.

On Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 3, Jace ends up in another bad situation after escaping his last one. Why even bother escaping? Everyone still wants a piece of him.

I'm glad he finally came to his senses and escaped the ship. Valentine was messing with his head and would've turned him into a monster, regardless if he is Jonathan or not. The real world suits him better.

Does this mean Valentine still has the Mortal Cup? I'm pretty sure he does. It didn't look like Jace and Clary had enough time on Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 2 to steal it before spontaneously escaping. And neither had it back on land this episode.

In hindsight, they probably should've done that to gain favor with the Clave. Victor Aldertree was determined to capture Jace, »

What Audiences Can Expect to See on Shadowhunters Season 2 (Hint: It Will Be ‘Very Bloody’)

Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments is back — and the series’ stars are dishing on what audiences can expect to see in the drama-filled season 2!

Sitting down with People, Matthew Daddario (Alec) and Alberto Rosende (Simon) revealed that the second season involves lots of blood.

“It’s bloody, it’s bloody,” Daddario, 29, admitted about what fans will watch when they tune in to the Freeform series.

“It gets very bloody this year,” Rosende, 23, agreed.

But although audiences might need to shield their eyes from the excess of blood, Daddario said that the season is also “touching” — and dished on the fans’ obsession with #Malec. »

Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 2 Review: A Door Into the Dark

9 January 2017 6:48 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

I think we can all agree that the adults are not to be trusted on Shadowhunters. They all have their own agendas! Only Luke seems to be the trustful one.

On Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 2, the adults continued their "I know what's best for you" mantra. We already knew Valentine was despicable, but Victor Aldertree and Jocelyn continue to surprise.

Between the power control set by Aldertree and Jocelyn's lies, it's no wonder the core group feel they need to get the job done. And they're showing results! They're the only ones thinking with reason and composure in the Jace situation.

Does anyone trust Aldertree? There's something about him that screams evil and having hidden motives. It could be the way he politely talks down and threatens people...

Ever since his first appearance on Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 1, he's tried to enforce his will on many of the cast. He's demanded them »

Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 1 Review: This Guilty Blood

2 January 2017 6:21 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Shadowhunters is back! We've been in a serious withdrawal without some of our favorite supernatural characters on our TV screen.

Let's get this out of the way: I love the new look and feel of the show! On Shadowhunters Season 2 Episode 1, we got to see all the new changes and updates added in after the first season. It's still the fun show you love, but it's more mature and darker.

When we chatted with Shadowhunters execs Todd Slavkin and David Swimmer, they mentioned the tone would become darker and grittier to suit a new direction.

The colors are more muted/toned down, the pacing has slowed down, the drama is less overstated, and the props got a serious upgrade. For the person who decided the seraph blades should look more like actual swords and not glowing toys: Thank you. (No seriously, thank you!)

Shadowhunters Recap: Jace Embraces His Dark Roots in Season 2 Premiere

2 January 2017 6:00 PM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

The hunt for Jace Wayland hit a few snags — of both the dramatic and sexy variety — on Monday’s Shadowhunters season premiere.

Convinced that Jace has been working for Valentine all along, the newly (and sketchily) appointed head of the New York Institute issued a dead-or-alive order for his return, a decision that raised more than a few well-groomed eyebrows within the community.

Clary, who seems surprisingly well-adjusted to the notion that Jace is her brother, enlisted Simon’s help in tracking him down, resulting in the »

Shadowhunters Returns: What You Will (and Won't) See in Revamped Season 2

Change is the name of the game, both in story and style, when Shadowhunters returns for its second season on Monday (Freeform, 8/7c).

Sure, it still spins the tale of a fiery-haired young woman coming to terms with her new life as an angelic demon slayer — the action, more or less, picks up exactly where last season’s finale left off — but with a new behind-the-scenes team at the helm, things will play out a little differently than you might expect.

TVLine spoke with new showrunner Darren Swimmer, executive producer »
