OK I am only writing this review instead of just giving a review-less star rating because some activist idiot -- "the_doofy" no less -- went on a stoopid animal activist jag review that had everything to do with his stoopid agenda and nothing to do with the movie.

I'm telling you, these far left wing crazies need to be stopped. And hey doofy -- did you realize that this FICTION? The horror elements are FAKE you moron.

Anyway, on to the review. The first thing you need to know is that this movie is in French with subtitles for the first 7 minutes or so. Then the English kicks in.

It's a found footage movie and it appears that is actually done on film, not video. They added dirt to the film to make it look like it was done in the 70's. It's sort of silly these days since everyone does it and the movie doesnt need it. Plus, if this story was real, the amount of film they would have used would have been astronomical for a documentary.

The movie could stand on its own without this convention.

One of the things that makes this an interesting movie is that it has a relatively competent eclectic International cast -- Brit, French and American. Too bad the chick doesnt do full frontal. That would make it a REAL throwback to the 70s.

Unfortunately, the movie takes a long time to go anywhere and then there is in my opinion, a rip off Blair Witch-ish ending that is just really disappointing. Too bad the cast was wasted on poor writing and a bad director.
