Although the story & script was primarily written by Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti; Javed Akhtar (father of Farhan and Zoya, and half of the famed Salim-Javed writing duo) was asked to write all the dialogue for the dog/narrator Pluto Mehra. Javed also provided the voice of the dog for the rough cut of the film, before Aamir Khan recorded the voice-over heard in the final film.

Goofs

Prior to the song 'Gallan Goodiyan,' when we see Manoj Pahwa speaking with a microphone, he is not wearing a suit on top of his shirt. However, when as the song starts, we see Manoj Pahwa wearing a suit on top of his shirt.

Nice One

NOTE:- Do not ever try to compare it to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. This film is nowhere close to ZNMD, one of the best film of recent times. You won't be able to enjoy the film if you keep comparing it with ZNMD time & again.

'Dil Dhadakne Do' is an interesting film for the family. The movie is flawed sometimes but sensible, practical and relevant to our life in some way or another. As the film deals with urban high class issues, it may not be everyone's cup of tea to handle it. This is a strict no for the lovers of massy entertainers.

Coming to the performance, Anil Kapoor, Shefali, Anushka and Priyanka nails it perfectly. Ranveer Singh was good enough, but not as good as Hrithik Roshan of ZNMD. Farhan Akhtar does a decent job, but compared to his earlier films this one is average stuff.

Movie had number of funny moments, so you catch your breath and then again lose it in quite a few situations. So movie keeps you engaged in those 170 minutes of run and entertains very well. It is a heartwarming saga of today's family, a mad emotional loving hilarious ride. The film leaves u with such a high!
