Violence & Gore

  • The portrayal of infliction of pain and injuries is depicted in the film with some detail of blood and gore but is not prolonged and/or frequent.
  • The film contains many scenes of violence, with some of the stronger scenes depicting people being shot in the head with blood spurts.
  • There are also scenes showing random people inflicting violence on one another during 'The Purge', such as an arrow penetrating a man's head from the side; a man's head being severed by a guillotine; corpses hung from a tree with people stabbing them; etc.
