Digging In: The Making of Squirm (2014)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Highly entertaining, thirty-three minute documentary on the making of the cult classic SQUIRM. Jeff Lieberman, the writer and director, is interviewed as well as actor Don Scardino. Of the two men it's Lieberman who gets the majority of the screen time, which is understandable since, after all, he did write and direct the picture. He starts off talking about why he wrote the picture and then we get into some great bits of information on the actual production and post-production. If you're familiar with Lieberman then you already know that he's a blast to listen to and he does a wonderful job here at keeping you entertained but also giving you a great history lesson on the production of the picture. Scardino talks about what drew him to the action, working in Georgia as well as what he co-stars were like. Fans of SQUIRM will certainly enjoy this as both men are extremely entertaining and the running time is packed with wonderful stories.
