Deep and introspective
Dn934 October 2020
Not the conventional story. The director did an incredible work recreating a world where there's no more place for human values and feeling. Slow and deeply touching, beautiful compositions that reflect the inner struggle of the characters living in this grey limbo of meaningless lifes

a truly remarkable film

This Italian science fiction film is undoubtedly a very interesting work that plunges us into a dystopian and suggestive future. He takes inspiration from Ballard's works, and he succeeds in creating that detachment from society and humanity that characterized Ballard's writings. The lead actor Andrea Lupia is very good at playing a cold human being, now devoid of any shred of emotion or hope and together with the other cast members he gives us a beautiful character. A film that certainly deserves one or more visions.

It works

I really appreciated this great little film, which exudes a passion for genre cinema and science fiction literature. We are used to super hero protagonists catapulted into various apocalypses ready to sacrifice themselves for the next while here we have a completely apathetic protagonist who seems not even aware of the tragedy that surrounds him because he is too busy clinging to his everyday life, which has completely disintegrated (practically the real everyday life of most human beings). Each character has its own story. Each character moves through this condominium-world trying to survive as best he can. Today it takes courage for independent directors to invest everything in this kind of film, and I think it's right and right to support it despite its flaws.

Don't miss it!

I do recomend this little masterpiece by the talented italian director Matteo Scarfò. The storytelling, sweetly slow, melanchonic and "true" when it speaks about the absence of human feelings, will take you into the deepness of the Ballard's thought. It is supported by a stunning soundtrack and the lead actor, Andrea Lupia, is the perfect person to communicate all the ideas of this work, with his recitation intense and strong. A great work!

I love this movie

I believe that it is unfair to shoot at zero on such a product, which on the whole I find more than excellent, even the great films of billion-dollar productions are not free from defects. Like everything in life it is also a matter of taste, from my decades of experience in the field of cinema and TV I still find it an excellent product, which comes from a low budget and from the passion of some friends who together have given us something unique and unrepeatable. Those who think the opposite in my opinion not only have no heart but do not understand anything about life and cinema in general. I repeat, considering the budget and the means of small production, it remains a great product for me. Decent phorography, plot that takes you and involves you, unique and above all NATURAL settings !! go and review some history of cinema and redo the directing school, you who speak badly about it ... and thank you already that I was exposed in a review because some comments are not even worth repeating. For me a great little milestone of Italian cinema, which, apart from a few small exceptions like this one, unfortunately enjoys too poor a panorama. Glory to these guys ... keep it up!

An Italian post apocalyptic pearl

Matteo Scarfò manages to translate James Ballard's universe into images thanks to refined scenographies, an excellent cast of actors and a direction that delves into the psyche of characters. One of the few examples of Italian underground sci-fi cinema.

A hidden sci-fi gem.

If you are fan of some works of Philip or you like that cryptic narration that made Blade Runner really great, you should check It out. You can find it on Amazon Prime video. Aside the low budget you can see really great passion about everything in this movie: the director does a really good job with every scene and the photography Is really impactful. The actors really gave their best portraying broken people at the and of civilization as we know it, from the apathy of the main character to the desperation of the other people of the building where most of the story takes place. This is a story about abandonment and resignation and of you are in this kind of things you can't miss it. It is really an hidden gem.

Defenitely worth seeing
babol-875844 October 2020
A film made by people who love cinema and who make their passion manifest in every frame. The editing succeeds in making linear a story that at first glance is very complex; the lead actor brings up all the pain that afflicts his character, literally "shut down" by an imposed routine that he uses as a mean to survive; the director makes the most of nature, combining it with a wild and decadent urban landscape (the outskirts of Catanzaro), the perfect theater of a post-apocalyptic science fiction entirely based on human beings and on the way in which they are afflicted by what surrounds them. Also noteworthy is the soundtrack, full of electronic sounds, perfect for the atmosphere of the film.
