Ed has gone missing, which apparently has happened before. Having her day already mapped out, Shelly leaves the task of finding Ed to Ali, who in turn calls in Sarah and Josh for help. Despite their arrival at the complex, the latter two have little interest in helping, even with the fact that the complex is next to the marina and water. Looking for Ed at least takes Sarah and Josh's mind off their current argument concerning what to do about the house. With the three siblings together, the topic of their father, who has yet to come out to Josh, may be difficult for the sisters not to broach seeing as to its magnitude in their lives. The situation is made even more complex in that Shelly is expecting a visit from the new rabbi, who wants to provide holistic support to Ed. Meanwhile, Tammy receives a visit from someone from her past, namely her young adult stepdaughter Bianca. Sarah and Josh each see something different in Bianca's arrival as it may affect their lives. Maura, courtesy of Davina, takes her first ever estrogen pill. Maura may want to feel more about that act than the actual effects of the one pill itself. And out socially with Davina and Shea, Maura runs into someone from her past, that person who only knew Maura as suburban family man Mort.
