- Abzû is mostly colorful, bright and full of sunshine, though it sometimes has the ability of going of the rails, ( without extreme measures).
- There are only a couple of examples.
- Sometimes in the game you'll have scenes where you'll be thrown at high speed in a scene where, you'll only have the ability to move forward and the speed amps up. ( Not by much), even if you sometimes feel nausea from these type of scenarios, you should be fine. As you may get distracted to the background.
- In some levels the water is deep and dark. You can see whales and other creatures swimming as shadows under you. This may be frightening to some players.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- At the end of every level, there will be a scene in a strange and weird place, that later on is the main part of a museum. It can be a little bit hard to look at, if you aren't used to some weird asthetics, as the lighting is also a little strong.
- Note: This is the only part that is truly scary. Halfway through the game, there is a level inside a gigantic robot station, with red lights, some terrific ambience, and a (sort of) alarming state. It's quite intense, especially near the end.
- Near the end of the game, the tone changes. Floating pyramids electrocute the diver and the music as well as the atmosphere are a lot darker and more creepy than in the rest of the game.
