Don't pick the wrong movie...
rjw-8194018 January 2016
The only positive notoriety this movie will get is from people accidentally rating it higher than they want to, thinking that it's another movie with the same exact title released in the same year. I accidentally watched 45 minutes of this movie waiting patiently for the action to start before realizing this is a bad Tyler Perry rip-off.

That being said, I realize that I was at a predisposition to dislike this movie and tried to keep an open mind for the remainder, but it was still nothing more than terribly predictable romance clichés peppered with one or two laughs for the entire movie. Word to the wise: double check to make sure that you've selected the correct film before continuing any further.

The proof is in the pudding. On this page, in the "people who liked this also liked..." section is the movie I originally meant to watch, suggesting to me that quite a large number of viewers that liked this film quickly realized their mistake and liked the correct movie.

Terrible

Do not be confused for the other Mr. Right from 2015. This movie is awful. I made the mistake of watching nearly an hour of this movie before realizing this isn't the movie with Sam Rockwell. Please heed my advice, do not watch assuming you're looking to watch the movie rated a 6.3 out of 10 on IMDb

For what it's worth, I did not watch the entirety of the movie, maybe it picked up after the last 30 minutes. It was, in my opinion, uneventful. The cast and acting wasn't horrible but the plot line was relatively obvious and shallow and the dialogue was far from intriguing.

I GOT THIS
nogodnomasters14 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Lisa (Erica Tazel) believes Mr. Right is a fantasy and doesn't exist. Her friend Norma (Dawn Halfkenny) fixes her up with Michael (Columbus Short) from the Mr. Right dating service. Sparks fly and Michael becomes a liability to the company where only hot rich women use the service.

The story is unrealistic and has a large ;ugh; appear for men. However for the female fantasy (the ones who have seen "An Officer and Gentleman"; seven times and still cry at the end) this romance just might be right for you. The film has limited action and drama (except that one thing) and is mostly a love story where both the girl and the guy talk about their feelings, a film where the man comes running after the woman through hell-fire to pledge his never dying love, while Mila Kunis makes fun of this in another film.

In the early kitchen scene, if you look close, you can see a stage hand's reflection in the door window.

Go on ladies, you know you want to see it. No f-bombs, sex, or nudity. Your Mr. Right should have the lawn done about the time it is over.

Great original movie!

This movie was very fun and playful. Perfect for a girls night or even date night. The acting was spot on for what the script required and there was a lot of comedic moments. The dynamic with Mike's friends and the boss Frank is what really made the film light and funny. This movie didn't seem to have any slow parts and it's a shame that this wasn't offered in theaters as I felt this film had the quality to be featured on the big screen. If this was available in theaters, I never saw the trailer for it. Overall nice film that showcased African-Americans without it being preachy or proving a point as many of our films try to do. Would definitely watch again.

Good movie

Finally we get more black romance and funny movies. I adored the romantic scenes between the two main characters. These two did a wonderful job. The two friends were hilarious. I just thought it kept a balance.
