Rilynn is delightful in this pleasant Stormy romance
lor_5 September 2018
Stormy Daniels as filmmaker shows her fondness for Hollywood genre staples of the '30s and '40s in most of her work, and this fun romantic comedy could have been a Jean Arthur or Carole Lombard vehicle back then, depending upon which studio owned the property. Rilynn Rae, all 6-ft. in heels of her, is wonderfully empathetic as the just slightly ditzy heroine who wins the lottery ($4 mill worth).

Her birthday is a disaster, fired from her waitress job when she gets into an altercation with mega-uppity customer Jack Vegas, the manager siding with the customer. Back home her lover Michael Vegas ignores her birthday, as a phony New Age type reciting some Zen mumbo jumbo, which causes a second altercation and he walks out on her.

The complications of winning all that money are predictable, as unscrupulous folk line up to fleece her, beginning with a cute montage of creeps ringing the doorbell with propositions, including cameos by the great Kylie Ireland and film's ace d.p. Jake Jacobs.

She does succumb to a scheme hatched by the nominal villain of the piece, Mr. Pete, who has his girl friend Mischa Brooks pose as Rilynn's sister she never thought existed, complete with forged birth certificates to seal the deal.

Of course the script leads to a happy ending, as Rilynn's best buddy (platonic of course) Seth Gamble eventually wins her heart. The very corny nature of the show is what attracts Stormy to these stories, which play well now especially since Hollywood has moved on to more sophisticated approaches to genre.

Rae is one of my favorite Adult actresses, but I speculate that her extreme height has held her back from joining the front ranks. She has the build of a beach volleyball champ, but in common with more zoftig 6-footers like Alison Tyler and Ava Koxxx remains tough to cast, towering over everyone else in the frame in her high heels.
