Between Amy & Liam's secret, as well as Lauren's, the show certainly returns with a bang.

Warning: Spoilers
The first season of Faking It was certainly interesting. We had a very tight knit, self-proclaimed Tiny Fey/ Amy Phoeler type friendship complicated by one of the girls liking the other, while they are supposed to be just pretending to be lesbians because at their school: the outcasts are the in crowd. Add on one of the girls wanted to use her faux-bisexuality to attract a boy; throw in a staunch republican, with a heart of gold; and a gay character who is flamboyant, though not so overdone he seems like a caricature, and that is the show. Though with the major confession of Amy liking Karma out of the way, now we deal with the fall out of that, Shane finding a boyfriend, Lauren's secret getting out, and the secret shared between Liam and Amy which seemingly will come out before the season ends.

Topic 1: The Morning After – Amy & Liam

With Amy and Liam having sex comes a lot of issues. First and foremost, the issue of how Karma would handle this information, and then there is Amy's mom. Someone who catches Liam leaving Amy's room and is delighted that perhaps her daughter isn't a lesbian. A huge problem for Amy since as other story lines play out, everything is A OK with Amy's mom since at least Amy isn't a definite lesbian anymore.

But, Amy's mom aside, the guilt weighing on both Amy and Liam make it so neither can face Karma. Though with all the lies Karma has already pulled with Liam, he doesn't really want to see her period. However, while Karma is OK, for now, to walk out of Liam's life, she can't let Amy just leave.

Topic 2: I Want You Back – Amy & Karma

Leading to her, on multiple occasions, trying to talk to Amy while Liam is only a few feet away from them. The first time this happens is the morning after Liam and Amy had sex, with Liam being forced to hide, and then it happens again when Amy is looking into the morning after pill. And due to the awkwardness of both situations, Karma is pushed away. But, of course, the guilt Amy is feeling doesn't help matters. So, with Karma feeling like she truly maybe losing Amy, she goes to her mom for advice. Of which, she is told to perform a grand gesture. Thus leading to Karma singing to Amy and Amy needing to sit Karma down.

Not to say what she did with Liam, but to set some ground rules for their friendship going forward. After all, with Karma talking about them growing old together, and saying the type of stuff which would, in season 1, give Amy's poor heart hope, she needs Karma to tone it down. The speeches, grand gestures, and even the little cute comments about having a life together, she basically says it is like Karma is water boarding her heart. Something Karma seems to understand and while it may take some time for her to adapt to Amy's request, for the sake of their friendship surviving she will try.

Topic 3: Jagged Little Pill – Lauren & Shane

Leaving us with Lauren. The formerly two dimensional villain turned full three dimensional character just got a new interesting bit of information revealed about her: She is inter-sex. Something which is very complicated, and is why Lauren takes pills. Though I was so sure the pills were going to be diet pills or maybe even something light like her taking birth control. Either way, with Tommy knowing about her being inter-sex, and Shane trying to get on her good side because he and Pablo are now dating, she needs him to help keep Tommy's mouth shut. But, from what it seems, Tommy isn't going to say anything anyway since he doesn't want to come off gay. For with him incorrectly identifying Lauren as a dude, he doesn't want the association. But, between the need to blackmail him, and what he said verbally, it is decided to put him in S&M gear, put quite a few dildos around him, and take a few pictures.

All of which was done for Lauren's sake, but with Shane knowing her secret, and them being frenemies, she fears it is but a matter of time before Shane blackmails her. Though with Shane renouncing his outing ways, and acknowledging her shame about her status, he promises that if he does talk crap about her, that topic will be off limits. Making it so while they may not be friends, still they have this understanding which allows them to co-exist and be in each other's company for prolonged periods of time.
