First Time Watching The Show
20 January 2015 | by See all my reviews

I have never watched an episode of American horror story previously, however the TV spot for tonight's show, highlighted Neil Patrick Harris as a guest star so I tuned in.

Plot In A Paragraph: Neil Patrick Harris plays Chester a wanna be magician/travelling salesman/ ventriloquist with a strange relationship with his doll Margery, who arrives at the freak show selling baby chameleons, and ends up buying it from Elsa (played by Faye Dunaway) Jimmy is in jail and is convinced by a lawyer to cut off his left hand and have all his lawyer bills paid, whilst Dell (Michael Chiklis) is plotting to rescue him. Dot and Betty Tattler (Sarah Pullson) conjoined twins are desperate for sex and set their sights on Chester.

As if not seen any previous episodes, jumping on old like this might have been a problem, however there were certainly enough interesting characters in certain situations to keep me entertained. I didn't know why Jimmy was in jail, his relationship with Dell or what Elsa is selling up, but it was enjoyable and I will continue watching. I'm not sure if I will only watch while Harris is a member of the cast remains to be seen, however for now I will continue watching.
