    Together in it

There are certain things that if you are an animal and/or rabbit/bunny lover, you may find as not appropriate. One of the most important things is that you should never just have one of them. As much as you love it, it is not a toy and bunnies are social animals so they need a companion (preferably from the opposite gender - but you can read up on all that before deciding to get one).

Having said all that and the confined space of a cage .. the parallels to the human prisoner are quite astounding. Because humans in general are social too. Some more than others of course. Still being in a cage (other pets are also held in cages of course, but for story reasons we get a bunny/rabbit here) is not optimatl to say the least.

Prisoners and animals is a good idea - even without having seen a study about this - they are likely to socially integrate faster and better than those without a pet/animal to care about - I would have guessed it is good for the psyche of the human. There surely will be exceptions and an expert should decide if a person is able to take care of another living breathing creature.

At the end of this we see a lot more animals in a lot more prison cells ... a shot that probably wasn't easy especially being without cuts and having a bird in it (no pun intended). I reckon you can tell I care about these little critters - if you do too, than the movie will work for you too if you overlook the mentioned things above.
