The beginning Meeting place between the two M.O.N.A.R.C.H agents and the traveler are in a whore house/bar. There is implied sex as an oriental couple go into a booth with a bed and close the curtain. A couple kiss, passionate but cut off.

The film contains many scenes of intense action between the humans and the giant creatures that inhabit the island. These scenes are usually shown in quick cuts, showing the peril the characters face and their reactions.

Some of the stronger scenes include a prolonged sequence which contains various shots of helicopters being knocked out of the sky by Kong; a focused and graphic scene where a man is shown impaled through the mouth by the leg of a giant insect; a scene where Kong grapples violently with a giant lizard and pulls out its innards; a man being torn apart by flying creatures; several instances of severe blood spatter.

Not for the squeamish. Many parents would not consider this a "family" film due to heavy and in some cases graphic body count.

Men enter a bar, no signs of drunkeness though

A man smokes a cigarette, he is forced to spit it out.

Set in the 1970s, 'Kong: Skull Island' follows a group of explorers who venture onto the mysterious Skull Island, and encounter the deadly inhabitants of the island, including the giant gorilla Kong.

Multiple characters are ruthlessly killed by monsters and prehistoric animals throughout the film, most are unsettling but some kills are justified though. A few are slow and brutal, others are quickly cut off or just implied.

Official MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for brief strong language

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for brief strong language.
