Storyline

Alicia is called for jury duty and meets an attractive man, Daniel Irwin. She's still confused about Will's death and is emotional but accepts his invitation to lunch. She turns to her mother for advice. Diane Lockhart meanwhile represents Robbie Pollard, the grandson of one of their major clients Lyle Pollard. Robbie admits to writing fake reviews for a web site, Silk Road, that sells contraband goods including drugs. He says he was paid anonymously and didn't buy or sell any of the goods but his works abetted the crime. Finn Polmar is responsible for the case and claims to have a witness to Robbie's crimes. It soon turns into a murder investigation. Meanwhile, Diane begins to wonder if David Lee and Louis Canning are plotting to get rid of her. Written by garykmcd

Episode ***1/2
5 May 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Alicia shows in this episode that she is emotionally distraught regarding Will's untimely death. She just doesn't know what to do with herself after being excused from jury duty and Cary demanding that she take the day off.

She meets a guy at jury duty who invites her out afterward. She is totally perplexed as she wanders the streets. During that day, she meets with mother, Stockard Channing, only to see the latter with a much younger man. Channing, a mother in the know, knows exactly what she wants.

Diane does recuse herself from a case. What's with this grandson of a client? Did he head up the drug business or did he just write articles for it?

Lewis Canning reveals a secret that Diane has Kalinda check out. Kalinda verifies what Canning has said is true. Knowing Canning, what else does he have up his conniving sleeve?

David Lee comes clean with Diane. Lee actually shows some compassion here even when he rebukes Diane at the end of the discussion.
