Biophilia Live
26 August 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The insanely talented Bjork has a unique stage presence and sonic identity, and here she again shows how few artists have as formed a presence as she does. The musical presentation of the songs from "Biophilia" (her then-latest studio album) are as striking as her music videos, and the concert film is impeccably edited and directed. It's a one-of-a-kind musical and visual experience, all perfectly tuned to the humanistic, naturalistic themes of the album itself. The songs are typically slow and introspective so it may not be for casual fans (Bjork's work gets increasingly insular and intimate as she gets older), but devotees will find plenty to like here.
