This was such an ambitious start to the sixth season of the series, and a more than impressive follow-up to the revelation at the end of Billy's Bucket List. I was certainly not expecting most of what happens in this two-part special.

Many characters from previous episodes had their comeback just at the very beginning of "Wake Up", and that includes The Lich, the main (and most evil) antagonist of the series.

I won't reveal the specific details of the plot in order to don't spoil the surprises to those who haven't seen this chapter yet, so I'm just going to say that it lived up to my expectations, showing once again the unpredictability of Adventure Time, which is precisely one of the main reasons of why I liked this animated show so much, as it manages to subvert many of the most common tropes associated with the fantasy genre.
