Having taken over the power system causing a blackout, Collier and Vigilance have managed to capture all the people they feel need to be brought to justice for creating and/or operating the ever knowing surveillance system, the only one of which he knows by name being the government's Northern Lights project. Among those they have captured and have placed on trial, with a live video feed going out to the entire world, are Finch, Control, Senator Garrison and Greer. Those on trial seem to be standing in solidarity against Collier's judgment even before the facts come to light. However, that solidarity may break down based on insider information one of the accused has. Meanwhile, Reese has an unlikely ally in the form of Hersh, both of who are looking for the secret location of the trial to free their respective bosses. And Shaw is assisting Root in trying to locate and shut down Samaritan, needing to pose as Decima to do so. But Shaw only has a small part of the picture as Root does ... Written by Huggo

Peter Collier: Go ahead and kill me. Damage is already done. Everyone in the world heard the testimony in that courtroom tonight.
John Greer: Mr. Collier, who do you think makes the equipment that you used to transmit? Your trial was broadcast to a single office on the other side of town where a handful of computers led you to believe that the whole world was watching. It's high time you and I had a talk about the true nature of Vigilance.
Peter Collier: You don't know anything about us.
John Greer: Oh, I know a great deal more than you think. ...

Well done

I respectfully have to disagree with the first person's post on POI. The thing about POI is that from the beginning, the show had to involve. Much like the nuclear arms race, once one person or entity builds something so powerful, people are going to try and copy it. That being said, Finch and Reese were always bound to meet new people as they confront more and more complex issues. And you're right, the people do change. Finch always wanted to be distanced from his machine, as he mentions time and again. Reese obviously follows Finch, and it makes sense that he starts fading into the shadows as well. All of this just reflects the true nature of who they are.

With respect to the evil argument, I believe that this is EXACTLY the way it should be. In real life people rarely always win. And sure, you might argue that this is a TV show, but when Snowden came out and busted the lines to pretty much exactly prove what this show said from the beginning, you better believe that this show is going to get real.

With respect to your final concern, the fact that this show is going off the tracks, it's bound to happen. The writers of this show have to cater to millions of viewers, they can not simply please all of us at once. They, in the words of Finch, "do the best that they can do". I for one am extremely excited to see where this show is going to go, because you can bet it'll be one hell of a ride.
