Solid episode.

Warning: Spoilers
A solid episode! The Jennings are still assassinating, using deception for the communist cause. The head of the Russian embassy meets his F B I counterpart. Stan Beeman is onto the K G B's plan to steal USA stealth secrets. A navy seal is looking for some Jennings payback. All the sub- stories are bubbling into a tumultuous series of conflicts. Well written, directed, and acted. I found Yousaf a raw, and exciting episode, which creates an intense immersion into the spy game of the 1980's cold war. Mrs. Jennings does not seem to have any qualms about committing murder whereas her husband is always trying to find ways out of doing the deed. I can not wait for next week. Something has to give but who and what?

Another very strong episode with interesting character moments

The Jennings' are tasked with extracting information from a Pakistani Intelligence agent.

It's difficult to say I enjoyed the episode like most of The Americans due to its largely downbeat content, but I thought it was very well made as always. Character development is for me the strongest point.

Several of the characters have interesting scenes showing how the job is starting to affect them, particularly Phillip with a decision he makes about a mission and Elizabeth doing the part of the mission Phillip would probably have done in the past.

The most interesting part for me was the family dynamics and the conflict with Paige, who is absolutely correct to feel aggrieved by her mother's controlling, hypocritical attitude. The culture and ideological clashes between the soviet and western liberal ways of life are explored well during this. There is a nice scene with Nina and Oleg thrown in which puts a Russian spin on the type of idea Paige is contemplating.

The overarching series narrative goes through a number of scenes that set things up for what looks like it will be a thrilling and suspenseful finish to series two.

As always the production is strong and the performances from all cast are excellent.

For me it was an 8.5/10 but I round upwards.
