Storyline

Ireland in the 1590's. Fortune Rochester travels with a small group of soldiers to an isolated fort where her father commands the garrison. They arrive to find the garrison slaughtered and the bodies mutilated. The soldiers believe the local Irish were responsible - but after they find an ancient burial mound, opened, Fortune's father turns up, apparently the only survivor. But Fortune knows there's something not quite right about him, and when he turns violent, one of the soldiers is forced to kill him. When this soldier then turns insanely violent, Fortune begins to see a pattern. Her fears are confirmed when the young Irish chieftain O'Donnell tells her about the Morrigan, an ancient female demon which thrives on fighting and fear, and feeds on the energy of violent conflict. But it's Fortune who finally works that the demon moves from host to host through the act of killing - if you kill it, you become it. Written by Causeway Pictures
