Did You Know?

"Veritas" is Latin for "truth"; the word appears on Johanna Beckett's gravestone, and the title could possibly refer to Kate finally exposing the truth about Senator Bracken's role in her mother's death. See more »

In the recording of Bracken that Montgomery left for Beckett, the conversation is exclusively between Montgomery and Bracken. But as established in Castle: Knockout, Montgomery was only a rookie during the Bob Armen incident; it seems unlikely that two veterans like Raglan and McCallister would choose a newbie to speak for them, especially to the assistant D.A. who's been blackmailing them. Richard Castle: I'm telling you, I don't know where she went.
Captain Marcus Donovan: You were just in the break room with Detective Beckett. What did she say to you before she fled?
Richard Castle: That she didn't kill Vulcan Simmons.
Captain Marcus Donovan: You understand this woman is now the target of a manhunt? And she's most likely a murderer?
Richard Castle: I can't help you.
Captain Marcus Donovan: [turning to Gates] I want him gone. He has no business in this precinct. Not while we're conducting this investigation.
Captain Victoria Gates: I'm afraid he's right, Mr. Castle. You're gonna have to leave.
Richard Castle: Gladly.

Closure at last for Kate Beckett.

Warning: Possible Spoilers on Joanna Beckett's murder case & Senator Bracken.

Wow! This was an immensely satisfying & badass end to Kate's mother's murder case..the case which has been key to Kate's successes & failures in equal measures.

  • Kate was possibly even more badass here than when she went undercover

earlier this season. Faking being drugged and taking out those two thugs while being clubbed on the head with a bottle was just epic!

  • Finally...a sigh of relief and pride at Kate for finally taking down

the person responsible for her mother's death. Immense gratitude to Rick too for standing by and supporting her despite the many dangers he was facing and Kate's stubbornness.

  • Now the duo can finally approach their wedding in peace...oops there

is one more item on the list: 3XK! Hope he thinks this summer is too warm for complicated plans to terrorize the duo!
