Ending on a high note
tenshi_ippikiookami2 February 2016
The last episode of season one of "The 100" has everything a young show could desire: characters that may die or not, some mysteries that may or may not be solved, cool action, and some missteps.

With the big fight between the Grounders and the 100 almost there, everyone of the surviving 100 is nervous and trigger happy. We will get what we expect, and a little bit more: action, desperation, some sacrifices and well rounded situations. It doesn't break any new ground, but it doesn't really need to. It all is done quite flawlessly and even if the effects are a little bit cheap, the action will satisfy any fan of the show. Probably every character has their moment to shine.

And will anyone from the Ark survive the re-entry through Earth's atmosphere? The appearance of the adults on Earth would change a lot of the dynamics of the show.

The ending reeks a little bit of other sci-fi shows, and it points for a new direction in the second season of the series. It will be for sure a change of pace, which could be interesting or maybe alienate its fans. But that's for the future...

Worth waiting.

For 12 episodes of building up, the storyline come to an end. Worth waiting though. This finale is better than I expect from this show. Good action, Well developed characters, and some cliffhangers.

predictable but fun

Warning: Spoilers
That last bit, the last few seconds, when the two look at each other through the windows and the music or sound builds like the THX sound, kinda stupid just sayin had to come here and do this just to say that but, now that i think of it, basically exactly the THX sound, with the 'DA' at the end, when the 100 logo shows ok, trite but cute but seriously, still though, stupid, lol all right, i'll say, even though there is sheer stupidity, it is very fun . so, final verdict 8/10 -1 for the stupid ending; all i could think while that sound was building was, GD, so stupid, and kinda crappy sound, not as good as THX -1 for being a bit predictable; kind of sophomoric i understand it is 'for the kids', but seriously, it's been a long time since tv came out, we should be doing better

ok, so still 8/10, that's pretty good; even though some of the plot and stuff was kinda stale it still rose above and of course, bonus points for being about space and s*, and extra points for that last show burning the station, way cool alright; and lastly, the jerk authority figure turned out to be a cool s.o.b. thing about liquor though, it doesn't really 'age' in the bottle, lol; it ages in the barrel pure grain is better, no fungus; mix with medicinal herbs, very potent

Rewatching
fuad_tarin_5820 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So im rewatching the 100 again since i love this show, specially season 1-5.

My question is how the hell did Bellamy and Finn survive the blast at the end? It litterally killed everyone that was close to it within 100meters it seemed.

Might be they show it in season 2(dont remember) if not then its very cheap.

Anyways, after rewatching and be able to see actually what all the characters go threw is amazing. Didnt like Finn in season 2 but in season 1 he is actually the one that never loses his head and allways tries to find peace with the grounders.

Amazing finale and cant wait to rewatch season 2z.

Can the mountain men be trusted
Neptune16516 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I suspect that Lincoln and Octavia will run into Abby. Lincoln will lead them all back to the camp, not initially knowing what happened. They'll be confused and worried by all the burnt up bodies. Lincoln will notice the unburned smoke canisters and immediately recognize that this is the work of the mountain men. He'll see the tracks of leading off toward the mountain men's base. But wait, Clark's group is about 60-70 strong. It was about 81 before the final battle started. The mountain men gassed them unconscious. It would take about 162 mountain men to move Clark's group before the gas wore off. I'm probably reading too much into that part. But the mountain men must have enough room and resources to house that many people. Let's assume that the "mountain men", which I guess are the descendants of the military and the scientists, and very few in number, have captured Finn and Belomy, just like Monty. I think the scientists know Clark's name because they simply asked Monty. I'm painfully excited for next season. The sign Clark sees on the wall is the name of the facility, an underground base actually, the 100 were told to go to when they initially landed on earth. They were told that the base was their best bet to find supplies to survive. Of course the assumption at the time was that there were no humans anywhere around to bother them. WRONG!

Watching it in 2022 and its pretty weak Warning: Spoilers
I am really surprised this show had 7 seasons. I think that if it was airing these days it won't get a second season. This show seems to be really overrated. The story is decent but nothing that new. There was a nuclear war most of humanity was wiped out and living on a space station. Now they want to come back.

It starts as a teen drama. First episodes are really hard to watch if you are not a teen. Another problem is that you have 25-30+ years old playing supposedly teens, These actors don't look and dont have teen voices. Some of the "teen" guys there look older than me and I am over 40.

The natives also don't make much sense so far. It started good but then it was ruined. At the beginning they weren't sure they speak English. But after one episode their English is perfect suddenly. And the all have American names.

And yes don't forget Clark. She isn't a doctor and has no equipment, but is able to save people that get shot, stabbed and what not. And they are all good to go couple days later.

So far this show is 6 at most nothing more. It's worth the watch if are int average series like these.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
praqoon28 May 2021
So I watched the first season of The 100. WOW! I hope the writers got fired. These juvenile ex-cons on Earth make every bad, incomprehensible, and immoral decision and are guaranteed to take a course of action that goes against logic, reasoning, and common sense. After a while it becomes predictable and you just have to think of the total opposite of what might be right, or rational, or expected to realise that inexperienced and uneducated teenagers (or the angry parents of them who now wished they'd used contraception) wrote this godforsaken rubbish.

There are no plot twists or branches that make sense or are within the bounds of normality. No nail-biters or edge of your seat suspense cliff-hangers. Only mindblowing ineptitude and ridiculousness of Biblical proportions. 99% of the time characters fail at every level and the other 1% doesn't make up for the ludicrous storyline and unbelievable events that take place. This was like watching the Simpsons cast in an episode of Lost - from the mind of a socially challenged adolescent with a carte blanche to create the dumbest story for a dumbest story award. What a complete load of garbage from beginning to end.

1/10 because I couldn't award it a fully deserving ZERO!
